LEASEHOLDER'S OWN BIRD DOGS and GUN DOGS

Many Leaseholders at Whaleback have their own dogs. The Preserve is pleased to have all leaseholders bring their dogs to whaleback for training in summer months June, July, and August and to hunt in the Fall Game Bird Season. Dog Training fields and 4 ponds are available for your reserved training use by appointment. Cost is $50 for your session.

By Special arrangement we are pleased to host trainers for training sessions available to our leaseholders. To organize please contact the office.

We offer training with Jim Poole at $35 per hour plus cost of birds.

The Farm has six kennel facilities at present and is evaluating additional kennel needs for leaseholders. Four kennels are set up for leaseholders to use at no cost when going to the Clubhouse before or after a hunt. Two are for overnight when you are staying in our owner's cabin. Each of these can accommodate two kennel mate dogs per kennel. Please do not bring dogs into the Clubhouse or Owner's Cabin.

We ask that dogs not be allowed to run free while on the farm, except under supervision by leaseholders or guides while in the training fields or hunting fields. You are welcome to stake out your dog or please use a kennel box. Rabies and deer tick vaccinations proof should be current for sporting dogs. The Preserve highly recommends kennel cough vaccinations for dogs that will be at Whaleback and in contact with other dogs.
