Leaseholders White Tail Deer Hunting Rules

Included in the basic Annual Hunting Lease, Wild Wings Lease or Corporate Upland Lease Fee, at no additional cost is hunting reservations for white tail deer in season for the leaseholder and family. All reservations are for assigned stands for Morning or afternoon to assure your safety and privacy. In 2003, walky-talkies will be used to monitor every stand hunter and for the Clubhouse Manager to communicate with hunters. We have and are building new assigned tree stands or ground blinds for each hunter in 2003.

Effective 2003 Whaleback allows 24 leaseholders for opening day of shotgun. We had 22 in 2002. Every other day of the season Bow, Shotgun or Mussel Loader we have a 12-hunter maximum on the preserve for reserved hunts morning or afternoon in season. You must make a reservation ahead to hunt deer. This represents 24 possible reservations per day. In 2003, we averaged 6 hunts per day morning and afternoon on weekends and only 4 per day weekdays. Other than opening day there were never more than 10 hunters on any single day of the season.

October 15^th to approximately November 15^th is for Bow. November 15^th approximately to December is for Shotgun. And in December for one week is Mussel Loader. Consult the DEC Annual published dates for exact schedule yearly. Leaseholders must have the New York State License and game tag. This is a two doe and one buck area most years. Our section is N.Y.S. D.M.U. Section 87.

No hunting of any game is allowed with pistols of any kind. Pistols are not welcome in our Clubhouse or on our grounds in the hunting fields. We are a Bow and shotgun hunting preserve.

GUESTS OCTOBER Bow Hunts for White Tail Deer
	Hunters arrive between 11:00 AM and Noon the first day to check in to the Preserve and get their room assignment. 4 Hunters booking together may reserve the 2 semi private Rooms exclusively. Lunch is served at Noon the first day in our Clubhouse where your guide meets you discussing preserve rules. After lunch before your first afternoon hunt you can use our bow range.
For each hunt your guide takes you to your stand and gets you at lunch and the end of day. Dinner is served at the Clubhouse for you and your party at 6:30 PM daily. Breakfast is served in the Clubhouse the following morning.

Each hunt you may reserve a separate area. Your Final day, breakfast is served in the Clubhouse, you hunt the morning, and return for lunch. Check out is at 2:00 PM. You may Book a Pheasant Hunt at extra cost for after checking out of your room. The Cost is $750 per person to hunt deer with bow. For the 2 days all-inclusive, you may shoot 2 doe White Tail and one Quality Deer Management Buck 8 points or better providing you have the proper tags. There is a $100 fine for shooting a small buck with bow.
