Weekly Continentals may be flown!

We are pleased to announce our new location for Continental Shoots.
Please read our new rules carefully to avoid confusion. You must be pre-paid for each Continental event. There will only be 12 shooting “buts”. Prices vary depending upon the number of Birds flown and food service requirements. We can do your event on a weekday if requested well in advance.

WHALEBACK has developed a new area at the “Red Gate trout pond ” where extensive landscaping has taken place from clearing old tree stump debris in the valley bottom. This beautified the flat land and the streambed enabling easy walking. As Whaleback leaseholders know, this location has a sharp rise to the Western Hill. The tree line is 250 vertical feet above the valley floor providing the perfect environment for launching a quality Wing Shooting Event! Whaleback can now flight ducks to the pond or Pheasants to the “buts” below in an ideal location for true European height & style of driven birds.

To help ease our start times you are requested to go to the RED GATE driveway on the south farm @ 10:00 a.m.. Maps will be provided for any who register and reserve a shooting “but.” Coffee and hot soup will be provided and extra shells will be available at the start. After the shooting leaseholders & guests will be served a catered lunch back at the Clubhouse if ordered.

1. The Shooting field will consist of 12 “Shooting Buts” Maximum.

2. One or two guns may occupy a “Shooting But”.

3. The cost per “Shooting But”divided by the number of birds ordered for your event.

4. All reservations must paid by credit card.

5. Whaleback will endeavor to help single shooters get paired if requested.

6. Whaleback will cancel A Club Continental shoot with less than 9 “Shooting Butts” pre-sold sold one week prior to the event. Any cancellations due to lack of sales will provide a full credit.

7. There are no refunds for no-shows. In the past no-shows made it difficult for our staff, our breeder, and our other shooters. They have inconvenienced all and therefore our required pre-payment policy must be enforced. You may allow someone to substitute in your “Shooting But” in the event you pre-pay but cannot attend. You must call Whaleback to authorize this and speak to Bruce.

8.Continentals for corporate or private parties will be priced upon request of the host based upon the number of birds ordered. At least 2 weeks notice and pre-payment is requested. There is a 150-bird minimum on any private continental. There is no maximum. We can fly 2,000 birds if your budget allows!
